Your questions on life and death seemed almost pessimistic to me.
I prefer to believe in the view espoused by the likes of Frederick Myers, Arthur Ford, Edgar Cayce and so forth that life on earth is merely a training ground for the soul, and that we are all eternal beings, simply in various stages of development.
How one dies I believe is completely irrelevant - how one lives however (and that's the hard part!) is another matter.
Cheers.
